As specified below, there are 5 most popular Digital TV standard being used:
DVB-T/T2 in Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, Russia, United Arab Emirates, etc.;
ATSC in the United States, Canada and Mexico;
SBTVD-T in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia etc.;
DTMB in China
ISDB-T in Japan.
It’s very important to know Your country’s standard before you order a TV to make sure it will work correctly. In most of the cases there is no way to change the standard since the digital TV boards are commonly compatible with a single standard. That is why we strongly recommend to check and specify the TV standard required when you order a TV online from abroad.
All AVEL TVs are currently supplied with 2 TV board (tuner) versions:
-
Digital Tuner DVB-T/T2/C/S2 – the latest H.265 (HEVC) version supported. Tested and works great in Europe, Russia, UAE, Australia, Israel and Ukraine.
-
Analogue Tuner NTSC/PAL/SECAM – old but universal TV board that supports Analogue TV signal almost worldwide.
There are universal boards coming to the market that can support multi-standard Digital Signal. We plan to apply 3-in-1 universal board DVB-T/T2 + ATSC + ISDB-T for our TVs in 2019, it will be the next step to make our TVs better and more universal worldwide.
